International Shipping
Shipping to a number of suppliers under a single bill of lading, our international shipping department, one of the most advanced and sophisticated in the world made up of dozens of staff, provides consolidation services which assembles together a number of suppliers under a single bill of lading, saving its clients unnecessary costs.
Our consolidation department (assembling suppliers under a single bill of lading) saves shipping costs, while providing timing that is known in advance, allowing to receive the goods within a shorter-than-normal timeframe.
There are two types of shipping based on the urgency and size of freight, shipping by sea and shipping by air.
Trailer service is a “door-to-door” service which integrates sea and land shipping between Europe and Israel.
Trailers are loaded onto ships (Ro Ro – Roll On Roll Off), and are transported by land from the manufacturer to the client for import and export shipments to Europe.
Similarly to a home or car insurance, imported and exported goods have insurance channels which offer protection against different risks. Freight insurance products typically cover loss or theft as well as different types of damage which may result in considerable losses.
The insurance is meant to cover the freight from the moment it leaves the factory or warehouse until it reaches the importer. In many cases, insurance prices are very low and attractive, since a loss of goods can cause significant losses.
There are more complex insurance products which also cover duties and additional expenses (other than the cost of goods) or offer protection against sale losses.
For example: a commitment to provide the goods by a given date. However, it is always advised that the different limitations in coverage conditions be examined.
At “United” we do our best to offer you the best and most professional world-class service, in order to ensure that your products reach their destination in exactly the same condition they were shipped. However there is always a risk of some damage in sea or air transport.
We strongly recommend that all our clients insure their goods in advance in order to avoid disappointment and unnecessary monetary losses. We will be happy to help you choose the insurance product that’s right for you with great ease, and will provide you with personal service, as well as handling claims professionally and quickly until they are settled by the insurance company.
